Mora - Growing Readers In-Person
Growing Readers is a dynamic program designed to ignite a passion for reading and build essential skills in a fun and supportive environment. This program is perfect for students in grades 1-5 who would benefit from extra support and encouragement in reading.
Young readers will be paired with a dedicated volunteer mentor to meet once a week for 8 weeks, creating a positive and encouraging learning relationship. Each 45-minute session, will include reading together, interactive games, and creative activities designed to strengthen literacy skills. Watch your child's confidence soar as they discover the joy of reading and achieve personalized goals.
Program Structure:
- Weekly 45-minute sessions with a dedicated mentor.
- Focus on building fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary through engaging activities.
- Collaborative goal-setting to celebrate achievements.
Commitment to Success:
To ensure the best possible experience for your child and our dedicated volunteers, we ask for a commitment to attend all weekly sessions. Consistent participation is crucial for the program's effectiveness. If you anticipate missing more than two sessions, we kindly request that you register for a future Growing Readers season.
Registration Information:
- Upon registration, your child will be automatically enrolled in the same time slot for all 8 weeks.
- Limited spots are available, so register early to secure your child's place.
