MN Author Visit, Lee Svitak Dean In-Person
Join us at the Mora Public Library for an author event featuring Minnesota author Lee Svitak Dean! She'll be talking about her book, The Ultimate Minnesota Cookie Book.
Cold winters call for warm kitchens and cookie baking, especially around the holidays. The Ultimate Minnesota Cookie Book, a compendium of Minnesota’s rich baking traditions and innovative recipes, stirs up winning treats from twenty years of the Star Tribune’s popular holiday cookie contest.
Lee Svitak Dean was the longtime editor of the award-winning Taste section for the Minneapolis Star Tribune, where she wrote about food for four decades. Saveur magazine has called her one of the "unsung saviors of America's local food scene." Her awards include those from the James Beard Foundation, the World Media Awards in Australia and the Association of Food Journalists.
This program is recommended for adults, and is free and open to the public. It is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
