Near Nature In-Person

On this Earth Day, visit the library to celebrate the outstanding natural treasures to be found here in Chisago County and the watershed of the St. Croix River. Join local writer and naturalist Laurie Allmann for this program offering a “bird’s eye view” of the wildlife and wild places to be discovered.

Laurie is an award-winning environmental writer, essayist, and poet. She is serving a year-long artist residency with the nonprofit North Woods & Waters of the St. Croix.

Registration required, as space is limited. Recommended for teens and adults.

This program is provided by the North Woods and Waters of the St. Croix Heritage Area (NWW), in partnership with ECRL and supported with a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
